ugh i just can’t get this sketch right but this is the basic design for the tattoo i want for my birthday. the phrase “never quit, never give up, no matter what the odds” was something my latin teacher said daily and told me to do. and, honestly… i don’t think i’d be here if it weren’t for him.
something that i find very fascinating about this “elfen lied” series is the fact that they chose females as the “monsters” or “destroyers of human kind” because women are symbolic of creation and nurturing. there are very few men in this series and the majority of them are power-hungry and demanding (likely of an exaggerated male character), BUT they are all humans. i thought it was weird for girls (with pink hair and moe eyes, no less) to be the uncontrollable killers. they have no motive (if you take away the abuse they go through) to kill people other than it is their “destiny to terminate mankind— and start a new race/world”. the only thing woman-like about their symbolic being is starting a new race, i guess. (but i don’t know how the fuck that is gonna work)

i can’t tell if i like this anime or not, sometimes it’s really dumb and other times it’s pretty neat
okay i’m not really happy with this but this is my animatino final (unfinished) and i honestly never want to work on it ever again but i thought i might as well share with you guys
